Browser based tracking
When a client navigates to the Tug-E-Nuff website via your unique branded landing page link or a generated referral link to a blog or product page, we activate cookie-based tracking.
As standard, these cookies remain on your client's browser for 30 days and track sales made within this period back to your account and award commission.
Cookies are small files that are downloaded to a web browser when you visit a website. They contain information such as preferences and e-commerce basket contents. In this case, cookies are used to identify the client you referred when they complete their purchase.
Cookies can be disabled by the web browser, which is why we also use other tracking methods to ensure you get the commission you deserve.
We'd suggest, where possible, using a combination of both cookie-based tracking and email-linked tracking to refer your clients.
Cart-based Tracking
In addition to standard browser cookies, we also employ cart-based tracking, in short when one of your clients adds items to their shopping basket (or cart) and enters their email address but do not complete the purchase after clicking on either your unique branded landing page link or a generated referral link we link that client to your account so any sales made are by that client are linked back to your account and commission awarded.
Email linked tracking
When clients access the Tug-E-Nuff website via your unique branded landing page link, they will be prompted to sign up to receive an exclusive discount code. Once they complete this signup process, we will link that client's email address to your Partner account.
Your client can opt-in to receive email marketing from Tug-E-Nuff during the sign up process or unsubscribe at any time. This action does not sever the connection of their email address to your account.
If that client goes on to make a purchase using their email address linked to your Partner account, we will award your commission for the sale.
We also use this tracking method from time to time to enable you to participate in our site-wide sales, such as Black Friday and Partner exclusive offers for your clients.
Manual commission linking
We are aware that despite our efforts to create a robust client referral tracking process that maximises your commission-earning potential, sometimes tracking does not record the sale against your account.
If you feel a client of yours has placed an order and, after checking your sales data on the 'Home' page of your Partner Portal, you can not locate the sale you can request our team to check our end for the order and award commission if the sale qualifies.
